People. The tiredness. I am so tired. Every day is so long. I am so tired.
I would say "thank heavens VBS is over" but that won't mean an end to the non-stop going this week. It's the family wedding, you see. It will require equal amounts of time and energy this weekend if not more. My husband's family could easily pass for Italians with all their eating and making merry. Good times ahead, but I seriously needed to approach this weekend with a more adequate stockpile in my sleep tank.
In other news, it was a long battle of minivan vs. SUV this week but the minivan won. We are an official card-carrying minivan family. I said to Hubs just before I drove it off the lot (and it instantly depreciated $10,000), "You realize that we have become one of those people . . ." We smiled at each other, went home, popped a DVD in the player and then cruised around town in it to show our families. It's fun. It's a minivan, but it's fun. The kids think it's a party on wheels. I have to say that I felt like I was going to burst into tears as I cleaned out the Trooper and prepared to leave it there. I've loved that car. We brought our baby home in it. We took our first family vacation in it. We enjoyed some great camping trips in it with a tent trailer hitched up behind. It's been trusty and loyal to me as I trek all over town with my babes buckled in the back. I couldn't look back as we drove away from it and I imagined it watching us go and wondering where his family was going in that ridiculous familymobile. I know. I've watched too many Pixar movies.
My belly itches. 18 weeks, People. We're almost halfway there.
That's about all I have in me at this moment of mental mushiness. I've tried to read around and catch up via Bloglines but I can't seem to wrap my brain around the most simple things. Better luck for me on Monday.
Have a good weekend, All.

I've been thinking about you all week as you didn't have the energy to post since Tuesday. I hope you'll find some time for a rest! You'll love your minivan, I promise! We're going to break ours in big-time with the trip out west for the reunion - all the little munchkins included!
IF - if - I were ever to drive a minivan - it woudl be the Honda. Good choice! You'll have fun! It's all good...And the DVD player inside, you're soooooooo lucky!
I really did cry when we traded our Honda Civic in - the final farewell to the little car of our college/first married/first baby days, and on to the party on wheels for us (in almost mini-van but not yet). sigh.
go get some sleep!
So, since your minivan isn't brand new, it didn't depreciate that much....so rest assured.
The King called me today in the middle of the day to tell me that he's decided we are NOT getting a new minivan like we entertained last night after breaking the 10th commandment all over your van. The idea of having NO payment in a year won over the idea of having a smaller payment for the next 4 years.
((sigh)) Good bye leather seats. It's was nice to dream of you. But alas....The King has set forth his ruling and even the Queen cannot sway him. ((sniff))
The King sounds like a wise man!
I could go for a minivan if it had a DVD player. Sounds fun!
I can't wait to see the new minivan. Congratulations!
I can't BELIEVE how fast your half-way point is coming...okay just to me! How exciting in a few short months the next "Little Trade-off" will be here to have and to hold and hold and hold and with helping hands.
BLessings for the rest I hope you get this week post-wedding and VBS fun times.
look at you, you minivan driver you.
Cruisin in the mommyvan ;-)
Hope you had a relaxin weekend and I'm sorry you are pregnant in the summer. I hated it. It sucks. I feel for you. Does your mommyvan have air conditioning? Me bad :)
Awww...18 weeks pg, this was a great time for me at this stage, I was starting to feel Justice move and we found out we were having a boy. Fun stuff. I want a minivan. I can't wait to be one of those people! It is funny how we get attached to our cars. I do that is for sure.
