It's Tuesday and I'm already counting the minutes until I can say that we're half way through the week.
Yes, working at a very disorganized VBS program has been THAT bad. I am exhausted. The kids are sweet and I'm trying to focus on making it a fun experience for the ones in my group. The program's organization has been less than stellar. Only three more days.
On top of that it's been tiring coming home from a long morning at church and then having realtors call to show the house when all we want to do is eat lunch and go to our rooms and crash for three hours.
And keeping the house in a constant state of cleanliness. It's stretching my sanity. I shouldn't complain because it's good that the house is getting some traffic. I think I just have a lot on my plate right now.
And the week will be capped off with a big family wedding which will be very nice but very busy and action packed nonetheless.
Calgon? Anyone? Calgon?

Oh, VBS is so exhausting, isn't it? I was actually relieved to see that our church's VBS falls in the middle of my hubby's vacation time this year so we will most likely be out of town....
Mary
I feel your pain with the unorganized children's programming. Ugg-
Oh man. My heart goes out to the tired pregnang lady who is moving. Good luck, K!
I'm SO feeling your pain (sans pregnancy of course)...VBS; check, disorganization; check, frustration beyond words; check, fun time had by all; jury still out! Just 3 more days...YOU CAN DO IT!
The realtors calling to show the house thing is enough right there...so hard to live, nap, play or take a Calgon bath in a "showhouse," huh? Hope the traffic translates into a good sale for you!
You can make it 'til Friday. Hang in there. The great thing is that the kids don't know disorganization - they just know they have a nice teacher and they sing fun songs. :)
You are doing awesome. Just keep counting down....
We will live in this house forever just because it will NEVER be in a condition to show. I can't imagine keeping it that spotless for more than 20 minutes. Great job Karen.
Sounds like a blast. I didn't know you are selling your house. How did I miss that?!
VBS was always such a challange!! One year I just didn't sign up - I didn't say anything or announce any opposing plans, I just didn't sign up! I dropped the kids off -it came and went and I smiled and went to the little program at the end - but I didn't help. You know, I didn't miss it one little bit!!! I haven't done it since!! There were plenty of moms without me and I had a less stressful week!! That is just one thing I just chose not to do!
We really lucked out this year. Group Publishing is in our town. This year they chose our church to be the prototype for next year's program. They came in, decorated fabulously, did the music, all the teaching - all we had to supply was a few helpers. It was wonderful! But now what do we do next year? They did next year's Bible School this year.
You know, maybe it's good. These busy times make you appreciate the slower times. Plus, takes your mind off the pregnancy and any aches and pains with that :)
It's midweek now baby!!!!
All the cleaning is sucky though. I'm sorry you have to deal with that!
4 yo olds at VBS with a pregnant tummy is precisely what I did (it was Monkey in my belly!)
Only I did not have to keep a house "stranger-worthy" for selling it!
You can do this...you have lots of women praying and pulling you through!
I give you props on the VBS help. Sounds terrible, but I can't handle VBS, I know it can be so meaningful, but unfortunately we were in Peru during ours-shucks.
Is it really that bad? Haven't heard a word yet... you are so brave taking it on. And Calgon - yes I got Calgon... just. for. you. See ya Saturday... kids will have a ball! :)
Thinking of you... Sending big hugs your way.
