Stop it with the food already!

Ok.
I don't know which strain of horrendous raunchiness I have contracted but it's t-minus three days since the big Retchfest and I still feel like doodie. At least my rib cage has stopped screaming and creaking with pain at every movement.

What's with all the food and beverage pictures and references all over Blogdom today? Shepherd's Pie, omelettes with bacon, bottles of drinks, glasses of root beer with Winnie the Pooh characters in them, you're killin' me people. I thought I was ready for my coffee today and boy was I wrong. It looks like it'll be day four of toast and Gatorade again. This is some weight loss program.

At least I have figure skating to console myself with tonight. Go Sasha!

Additionally, here is a meme that I have been tagged by Jenna to participate in.

Ten years ago . . .
I had just lasso'd my husband after stalking him for a year. My baby nephew was born and was the superstar of the family. We'd get together for Sunday dinner and just sit and watch every move and sound he made. He was the c u t e s t baby ever. Until Cool was born, but I'm biased.

Five years ago . . .
Cool was eight months old and we made our first trip as a family to visit my Grandparents in Oklahoma, also an important place in my growing-up years. It was really fun to show my husband all my old haunts, relive memories, and show off my little family to people I used to know. We also visited the Oklahoma City Memorial, a sobering experience. My uncle gave us a first hand account as he worked several buildings down from the Murrah building when it was bombed.

One year ago . . .
My dad was recovering from cancer surgery. Words don't express that experience adequately.

Yesterday . . .
My son, his usual talkative self, told me on the way home from school about a classmate who fell off the slide and landed on his face, wood bark mulch went up his nose, it was bleeding. The replay was gory and animated as only my five year old can retell a story. I asked if the child was okay and he said, "Yes, but we need to pray for him." My cup overflows.

Tomorrow . . .
Will be Friday. There is something about Friday that always feels like a mini-holiday.

Five snacks I enjoy . . .
(Here we go with the food thing again)
Cheez-Its
M&M's
Chocolate chip cookies
Pepsi
Fruit snacks

Five things I'd do with $100,000,000.00 . . .
Tithe
Pay off student loans
Invest wisely
Set up our parents and siblings
Buy a vacation home on the Oregon coast
I can hardly comprehend that kind of money

Five places I'd like to go . . .
Oregon Coast
Hawaii
New York City
Disney World with the kids
Camping

Five bad habits I have . . .
Clenching my teeth
Not picking up my clothes
Leaving shoes around the house
Not returning phone calls
Stacking up projects and not finishing them

Five things I like doing . . .
Sewing
Reading
Spending time with my Fab 4
Camping
Snuggling with my kids

Five biggest joys in my life . . .
Hubs
Spicey
Cool
My family (the Royal Family and my parents)
Fab 4

I personally edited out "5 Favorite TV shows" and "5 Favorite Movies" I mostly watch what my kids watch.

Tag yourself for the fun. I'd love to see some of my little newbie blog friends participate, Kristen, Sherry, and Tam.

Fun. I love reading memes.

Enjoy that toast. Get brave and sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar on it to mix things up.
