Some other nice achievements for the day include:
1. My daughter slept in until almost 10:00am. I have no explanation for it whatsoever. My son was up at 7:30 and I was NOT ready for that. It was nice to start the morning slow and read the paper over coffee before she added spice to the day.

2. We got into the pediatrician on the same day and my lovely mother watched my daughter so I could take the sickling alone. We were spared a trip to the pharmacy. Woohoo! **Bonus: my mom sent us home with a train set to put around the tree. Ten points for Grandma!! I can't believe how perfectly it fits around the tree. Now we just need some batteries to make it go . . .

3. And heeding the advice of Maki I made a special trip out tonight for some Tully's coffee (and cereal, and milk, and diapers). I plan to consume it intravenously when I wake up tomorrow. Man, I SO deserve it. I will positively spring out of bed in the morning with anticipation.
Now I'm off to bed early with a good book. Maybe life really is glamourous?

I would have liked a picture of the lounge pants. Congrats on surviving another one.
I'm so sorry you're sick. You somehow manage to make it sound like so much fun, though.
