Last night I took my sweater off while giving the kids a bath. It mysteriously disappeared.
Me: Hey, where's my sweater?
Him: Blah blah blah (changes the subject)
Me: Where's my sweater?
Him: More blah blah blah.
Me: My sweater. Where is it?
Him: Oh, I put it in your closet.
Me: No you didn't.
Him: Yes I did.
Me: (find a blanket to wrap up in while watching the end of The Apprentice.)
This morning. House is cold. Still can't find sweater. I call the sweater thief at work.
Him: Hello?
Me: Where's my sweater?
Him: (laughing)
Me: Where is it?
Him: You mean it's not in your closet? (still laughing)
Me: No, it's not. What did you do with my sweater?
Him: Are you sure it's not there? (more laughing)
Me: NO IT IS NOT IN MY CLOSET WHERE IS MY SWEATER YOU SWEATER THIEF?!
Him: Darn. I was hoping that you wouldn't miss it. (additional laughing)
Me: Duh. Where is it?
Him: It's in the hall closet. On the floor. Under the coats.
Me: Nice.
Him: Gotta go. Bye. (self-satisfied laughter continues)
Me: Coward.
Sure enough, said sweater was in a wad at the bottom of the coat closet with the mittens and umbrellas. He really should just be grateful that I don't wear it out in public anymore. Maybe I will today JUST to get him back.

SO THERE! VIEW IT AND WEEP!!!

My husband and I so laughed when we read this. I'm surprised you don't have a billion readers. If you write it, they will come. Just don't forget when they do to link back to some of this older stuff.
YOu know, everyone needs that certain "ugly" comfortable item of clothing. If I had a digital camera, I would take a picture of my Charlie Brown comfy sweater to show you. It's big, fuzzy, stained with a little soot from the fireplace and UGLY. But I love how warm it is. After I first got it at GOODWILL my hubby made me promise not to wear it in public. I oblige him, but occasionally it accompanies me to take the kids to school in the am!!
LOL... I love it! I happened upon your blog...and I'll be back! =)
But I too have that old sweater, a brown old man's sweater that my mom and I found at a 2nd hand shop to top it off the sweater had little pheasants all over it! LOL (Um still have it,but doubt it fits now...always thought some old guy was going to holler at me and say that was his sweater!)
Oh I do have t-shirt w/ a butterfly on it that my grandma ironed on & then used that sparkly puffy paint and painted around the iron on.... horrible... but special (grandma has passed on) and wear it all the time around the house!
Oops, sorry my comment got long!
